Real estate professionals once again swapped their meeting rooms for a futsal court. On Saturday, November 22, the 11th annual SVOBODA & WILLIAMS CUP charity tournament took place at the Řepy Sports Center, combining sportsmanship with helping children in need. After a nail-biting final game, Corwin's team leaders lifted the tournament cup. This was the first time the developer participated in the competition.
Twelve teams representing leading companies in the real estate sector competed on the pitch accompanied by the enthusiastic cheers of the assembled crowd: Accolade, CBRE Czech Republic, CORWIN, CPI Property Group, CTP, Cushman & Wakefield, FTMO, iO Partners, KNIGHT FRANK, Savills Czech Republic, Trigema, and SVOBODA & WILLIAMS. After a series of thrilling matches, Corwin’s team won the championship and the tournament cup, with CTP winning second place and FTMO taking home the bronze. The award for best player of the tournament went to Jan Čermák (Accolade), while Petr Hataš (Cushman & Wakefield) was named best goalkeeper.
The traditional futsal tournament organized by Svoboda & Williams is an annual family and social event with a charitable component and this year was no exception.
The entry fees of all participating teams and the proceeds from the charity raffle were donated to the Tereza Maxová Foundation for Children. Since 1997, the foundation has been helping disadvantaged and abandoned children find a safe family environment. “We greatly appreciate the long-term support of Svoboda & Williams and all those who participate in the tournament. Thanks to events like this, we can continue to fulfill our mission—to help children grow up in safety and with hope for a better future,” said Tereza Maxová, patron of the Tereza Maxová Foundation for Children. "This year, the proceeds will help support students from children’s homes on their path to a university education," added Terezie Sverdlinová, director of the Tereza Maxová Foundation.
“We’re extremely pleased that each year we manage to raise a significant amount of money to support disadvantaged children. Thanks to the charity auction held during the 10th annual tournament, last year’s proceeds exceeded half a million crowns and this year we pretty much matched it. We’d like to thank all our partners and the participants who, through their generous contributions, are helping where it’s really most needed,” said Jaroslav Waldhauser, head of commercial leasing at Svoboda & Williams. “Our gratitude also goes out to Czech Sport Media for the flawless organization of the sports part of the tournament, the Řepy Sports Center for its excellent facilities, the Kampa Community and Maternity Center for the accompanying program for children, Prague Catering for refreshments for visitors, and the event’s partners Anna Brandejs, AOMU, Arval, Autentista, Bistro by Antonio Sandev, Cukrářství Hostivař, Finebuffs, Hotel Pivoňka, Infinit Sen, KA International, Kamila Harris Home, Kunsthalle, Masarykova N°30, Nespresso, Pillar, Prague Mystery, Souladronka, Thaya, WAREHOUSE #1, and Dobříš Castle for providing prizes for the charity raffle,” he added.
